In the mid-60s, a Winnipeg teen was spirited off to a home for unwed mothers, and had a baby who was absorbed into a closed adoption system that made him virtually invisible. Years later, Myrl Coulter offers us the House with the Broken Two, a personal story of losing and finding her first born son, and an exploration of the changing dynamics of adoption.
