Young readers are an essential part of THIN AIR’s audience. Literacy is an important skill, but reading also takes kids to worlds that aren’t their own, and helps develop empathy, wit, imagination, and a sense of play. Canada has some of the finest writing for kids, and we make it available—in English and French! Les jeunes lecteurs sont une partie importante de l’auditoire de THIN AIR. L’alphabétisation est une habileté importante, mais la lecture transporte également les enfants dans d’autres mondes et participe à l’acquisition de l’empathie, de la présence d’esprit, de l’imagination et du sens du jeu. Le Canada compte certains des meilleurs écrivains pour les jeunes et nous vous les présentons — en anglais et en français.

Son dernier livre, Les perles dorées, allie l’aventure et la science pour proposer une histoire au rythme rapide située dans l’univers du sirop d’érable au Québec. Dans les livres de Marchildon, on suit des jumeaux, Roxanne et Yannick, dans leurs aventures dans le monde de l’archéologie en Ontario et dans celui de la Ligue nationale de hockey.
