Alison Pick

Alison Pick is an award-winning poet and fiction writer, who was named the 2002 recipient of the Bronwen Wallace Award for the most promising writer in Canada under 35. She has published two collections of poetry, and won the 2005 CBC Literary Award for “The Mind’s Eye.” Her second novel, Far to Go, was an internationally-acclaimed bestseller, winning the Canadian Jewish Book Award and making the long-list for the Man Booker Prize. Her new book, Between Gods (Doubleday) is a poignant memoir about delving into family secrets and converting to Judaism. Pick teaches at the Humber School for Writers and the Banff Centre. She lives in Toronto ON.
