Andrew Davidson

Born in Pinawa MB, Andrew Davidson graduated with a B.A. in English literature from UBC in 1995 and worked as a teacher in Japan, and as a writer of English lessons for Japanese websites. His debut novel, The Gargoyle (RandomHouse) is a spell-binding tale spanning several centuries, shuttling a grotesquely burned narrator and his probably schizophrenic caregiver between a contemporary burn ward and medieval Germany. The novel, which Kirkus Reviews has called “a deliriously ambitious debut,” has become an international sensation, and has already been sold in over twenty countries. Andrew Davidson lives in Winnipeg.
