Carolyn Marie Souaid

Carolyn Marie Souaid is a Montreal-based poet with half a dozen titles to her credit and nominations for many honours, including the AM Klein Prize, the Mary Scorer Award, and the Pat Lowther Memorial Award. She is also an editor, book reviewer, and teacher, and co-produces Circus of Words/Cirque des mots, a multidisciplinary, multilingual cabaret celebrating the “theatre” of poetry. In 2006, CBC’s OutFront produced Blood is Blood, a collaboration with fellow Montreal poet Endre Farkas, that explores the intersections between politics and passion. Souaid’s most recent collection is Paper Oranges (Signature Editions 2008).
