Columpa Bobb

Columpa Bobb is a playwright, actor, educator, and activist of Tsleil Waututh and Nlaka’pamux heritage. She has written over a dozen plays that have been produced across Canada and overseas. Jumping Mouse (co-written with Marion deVries), a play for young audiences, was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award and a James Buller Award. She’s also an award-winning actor, known for both stage and television work. After working at Toronto’s Centre for Indigenous Theatre, she led the Aboriginal Arts Training and Mentorship Program at MTYP. She now spearheads the Urban Indigenous Theatre Company, a multi-generational troupe creating positive, multi-disciplinary expressions of cultural self-determination. Bobb lives in Winnipeg.
