David Bergen

David Bergen’s fiction has been embraced by readers and critics alike. His many titles include A Year of Lesser, a New York Times Notable Book and winner of the McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award; The Case of Lena S., winner of the Carol Shields Award; The Time in Between, winner of the Scotiabank Giller Prize; and The Retreat, winner of the McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award and the Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction. He recently received the Writers’ Trust Award for a writer in midcareer. His new novel is The Matter with Morris (HarperCollins). Bergen lives in Winnipeg.
