Elizabeth Hay

Elizabeth Hay has written several award-winning books, including A Student of Weather, finalist for The ScotiaBank Giller Prize and the Ottawa Book Award; Garbo Laughs, winner of the Ottawa Book Award and a finalist for the Governor General's Award and Late Nights on Air, winner of the ScotiaBank Giller Prize. In 2002, she received the prestigious Marian Engel Award. This spring, McClelland & Stewart released her new novel, Alone in the Classroom. Formerly a radio broadcaster, Hay spent a number of years in Mexico and New York City before returning to Canada. She lives in Ottawa.
