Eric Walters

Eric Walters wrote Stand Your Ground, his first young adult novel, in 1993 as a way to engage the reluctant readers (and writers) in his grade five class. Since then he has written almost seventy books for young adults and two dozen picture books for younger readers, and won more than 100 awards, including eleven separate children’s choice awards. His two new books from Tundra are both set in Kenya. My Name is Blessing features a young disabled boy who finally finds security in a caring orphanage. In Walking Home, a brother and sister who set off on a long walk to find remnants of their family. Walters lives in Mississauga ON.
