Ian Williams

Ian Williams’ first book, You Know Who You Are, was a finalist for the ReLit Prize for poetry. His next book, Not Anyone’s Anything, a collection of short fiction, won the 2011 Danuta Gleed Literary Award. In 2012, Ian Williams was named one of CBC’s ten Canadian writers to watch. This year, his new poetry collection, Personals (Freehand), was shortlisted for both the Robert Kroetsch Poetry Book Award and the Griffin Poetry Prize. Williams has held fellowships and residencies in the US and Italy. He recently completed his PhD at the University of Toronto where he works now as an English professor. He lives in Brampton ON.
