Jake MacDonald

Jake MacDonald has published several books of fiction and non-fiction, including Juliana and the Medicine Fish, Indian River, and With the Boys: field notes on being a guy. His memoir, Houseboat Chronicles, won several awards, including the Writers’ Trust Non-Fiction Prize. He’s also an award-winning journalist, with articles on travel, wildlife and fishing. In his new book, Grizzlyville: Adventures in Bear Country (HarperCollins), MacDonald directs his curiosity, respect, and sharp eye toward North America’s largest predators, and the people who deal with them. He shares his time between Winnipeg and a retreat in Minaki ON.
