Kenneth Oppel
Kenneth Oppel is one of Canada’s most celebrated writers. Silverwing, Sunwing and Firewing, and the prequel Darkwing, sold over a million copies worldwide, mesmerizing readers and winning critical acclaim and numerous awards. Airborn won the 2004 Governor General's Award and was named a Michael L. Printz Honor Book. Its sequel, Skybreaker, won the 2006 Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children's Book Award, and the Vicky Metcalf Award for Children's Literature. Starclimber (HarperCollins), the highly-anticipated third book in that series, has just been released. Kenneth Oppel lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.
