Lucie Wilk

Lucie Wilk grew up in Toronto, completed her medical training in Vancouver, and now practices medicine in England. She is also an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia, and her short fiction has been nominated for the McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize Anthology, long-listed for a CBC Canada Writes literary prize, and appears in a number of Canadian journals, including Descant and Prairie Fire. Her debut novel, The Strength of Bone (biblioasis), is a gripping portrait of a burned-out doctor providing medical aid in Malawi, Africa. Wilk lives in London, England.
