Marty Chan

Marty Chan has made a name for himself as a playwright, a TV screenwriter, and YA novelist. His wildly successful mystery series includes The Mystery of the Frozen Brains, which won the City of Edmonton Book Aware, and last year's The Mystery of the Cyber Bully. This year, he launches A Close Shave (Thistledown), the first in a new series featuring Barnabas Bigfoot, a sasquatch with embarrassingly small feet. His hit play, The Forbidden Phoenix (Playwrights Canada) ran at MTYP in 2010. Chan lives in Edomton where he is currently the writer-in-residence at the Edmonton Public Library.
