Paul Quarrington

Paul Quarrington’s list of novels includes Galveston, which was nominated for the Giller Prize, Whale Music, which won the Governor General’s Award, and King Leary, which won the Stephen Leacock Medal and was this year’s Canada Reads winner. He’s also an acclaimed non-fiction author and screenwriter. He has already adapted his new novel, The Ravine (RandomHouse), as the BookShort film “Pavane.” He is a busy film-maker and editor, and is curating Moving Stories, an international festival of short films based on books, which makes its North American debut at THIN AIR 2008. Paul Quarrington is the lead singer of Porkbelly Futures, a rock-blues band based in Toronto.
