Rody Gorman

Rody Gorman was born in Dublin, Ireland and now lives in the Isle of Skye, Scotland. He has published eleven poetry collections in English, Irish and Scottish Gaelic, with a selection of poems in Irish and Scottish Gaelic appearing in 2006. He edits the annual Irish and Scottish Gaelic poetry anthology An Guth, and is himself a busy translator, publishing in all three languages. His work in turn has been widely translated and he has recently been welcomed in Israel, Macedonia and Switzerland. This fall he begins a writer-in-residence posting in the new Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Culture at the University of Manitoba.
