Ron Mann

RON MANN, one of Canada’s most respected documentarists, decided nearly thirty years ago that culture was an ephemeral yet powerful force that needed to be caught on film. He has made many acclaimed documentaries, including Comic Book Confidential, Poetry in Motion, Grass, and Know Your Mushrooms. Mann traveled with Atwood on her The Year of the Flood book tour and captured not only her dry wit and determined activism, but also the exuberance and engagement of amateur performers who brought it to life.
