Roo Borson

Roo Borson is the author of eleven solo collections of poetry, including The Whole Night, Coming Home, and Night Walk, both nominated for Governor General’s Awards, and Short Journey Upriver Toward Oishida, which won the Governor General’s Award, the Pat Lowther Memorial Award and the Griffin Poetry Prize. She has also been involved in a number of collaborative projects, notably with poet Kim Maltman and visual artist Andy Patton. Timothy Findley notes that her work “creates a compelling atmosphere of wonder,” and that is everywhere evident in her new book, a collection of essays called Personal History (Pedlar). Roo Borson was born in California and lives in Toronto.
