Wayne Tefs
Writer and editor Wayne Tefs has eight novels, a memoir, and three anthologies to his credit. His novel Red Rock was broadcast on CBC’s Booktime, and Moon Lake received the inaugural Margaret Laurence Prize for Fiction. His short story, “Red Rock and After,” won the Canadian Magazine Fiction Prize. His most recent novel, Be Wolf (Turnstone), a “docu-fiction” based on a German doctor who survived an ordeal in Manitoba’s north, won the 2008 McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award. When he isn’t writing or reading, Wayne Tefs is playing hockey, cross-country skiing, or riding his bicycle. He lives in Winnipeg with his wife and son.
