Youth Poetry Slam

Poetry slams are a rising form of DIY entertainment among young spoken word enthusiasts across the continent, and we have some terrific talent here in Winnipeg. The rules are simple: a three-minute time limit, and all words—no props or musical accompaniment.

If you’re one of the city’s young slammers (22 and under qualifies you), step up to the mic and share your three minutes of blistering brilliance or mellifluous musing. If you don’t fit into that age group, come and be part of the audience—that role is crucial too!
