Bonnie Holmes

Bonnie Holmes is a prairie girl who likes to read, write, and ride her bike. A selfdeclared “Anne-fan,” she maintains a passion for boas, trapeze artists and their sparkly costumes, and anyone else who thinks the average chicken once in a while needs to be taken out for a ride. She writes mostly about relationships, and the things about ourselves we may never come to understand completely. She is a psychiatric nurse who works with teenagers, and she is also Cathy and Gord’s daughter–random/abstract, concrete/sequential, and thoroughly indecisive. She was lucky enough to score herself a spot on Winnipeg’s Slam Poetry Team, and will be representing Winnipeg at this year’s national competition in Calgary.
