Cyril Dabydeen

Cyril Dabydeen is a poet, short story writer, novelist, and editor. His work has appeared in Canada, the US, the UK, and the Caribbean, and has been widely anthologized. His novel Drums of my Flesh (TSAR 2005), won the Guyana Prize for Best Book of Fiction, was a finalist for the Ottawa Book Award, and was nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. He has published several volumes of poetry, including Unchartered Heart (Borealis 2008) and Unanimous Nights (Black Moss 2009). Born and raised in Guyana, he now makes his home in Ottawa.
