Dora Dueck

Dora Dueck’s work has appeared on CBC Radio, and in journals such as Room, Prairie Fire, Rhubarb, and Journal of Mennonite Studies. She has published two novels, both of which explore the historical roots of Mennonite culture. Her first, Under the Still Standing Sun, is set in a remote Mennonite settlement in Paraguay. Her new novel, This Hidden Thing (CMU Press), comes closer to home, and follows a Russian Mennonite woman adjusting to life in Winnipeg and Winkler early in the 1920s. Dueck is the co-editor of Northern Lights: An Anthology of Contemporary Christian Writing in Canada, and lives in Winnipeg.
