Sue Sorensen

Sue Sorensen showed early literary promise in 1969 with an extremely short story called "Jesus Goes Shopping." Later she would write a PhD thesis on A S Byatt and be startled by her new role as a Lutheran pastor's wife. She would then publish poems as well as scholarly articles on writers such as Henry James and Guy Vanderhaeghe. Even later she would edit a collection of essays on Western Canadian literature, West of Eden. most lately Sorensen has published her first novel, A Large Harmonium (Coteau). Born in Saskatchewan, Sorensen now lives in Winnipeg with her family. She teaches English at Canadian Mennonite University.
